All Sako rifles, including the Sako S20, feature match-grade cold hammer forged barrels. There are many advantages to cold hammer forged (CHF) barrels: they’re durable, accurate and have excellent tolerances. The cold hammer forging technique changes the structure of the steel, increasing its toughness and making the barrel life of your rifle longer. CHF barrels do not have to be broken in, but instead have superb out-of-the-box accuracy.

They feature a newly designed ergonomic stock with enhanced stipple type grip for increased grip in all weather conditions. The stock can be adjusted to fit most shooters with the length of pull being easily modified using spacers, the comb can also be easily adjusted when using large objective scopes for optimum comfort. The stock is fitted with a rear M-Lok rail allowing butt-spike or similar accessory to be easily fitted. Another M-Lok rail is fitted infront of the magazine for barricade stop or attached rest bag, the front of stock also featured bottom and side M-Lok rails allowing a bipod and accessories to easily be attached. QD inlets are also fitted allowing quick detach slings to be fitted.

Picatinny bases have been machined directly in to the receiver increasing the strength and consistency of any mounting solution and also opening Sako rifles up to a lot more third party mounting solutions. The trigger is now also multi-adjustable, allowing both the length of pull and trigger pressure to be adjusted for best comfort and accuracy.

A 24″ cold hammer forged semi-varmint weight barrel is used to give the best accuracy possible, the extra 4″ barrel length also allows greater velocities to be achieved making the rifle better at maximum ranges. The barrelled action is Cerakote coated offering the best corrosion resistance possible for ultimate performance in even the worst weather conditions.

The durable and reliable double-stacked Cartridge+ magazine of the Sako S20, with its longer maximum cartridge length, was built to support reloaders, safeguard the bullet and to ensure optimal feeding.

The magazine is designed in a way that supports the cartridges by the shoulder, leaving some space in front of the cartridge tip in the case. This prevents bullet damage from recoil which can have a serious effect on the ballistics. With the S20, the shots stay precise, wherever your journey takes you.
